To quote EleventyFour… “EleventyFour is a Cork-born fun-sized music maker based in Dublin, Ireland. Half comedy and all heart.” Who are we to argue?

Just picking up The Joy Imperative CD brings a smile to my face, listening to it leaves me grinning like a cheshire cat.

A blissful Irish lilt, enough to melt any mans heart, delivers stories of stealing forklift trucks (Forklife) and odes to as yet unborn foetus babies (Greetings Earthling). Dorothy “cooler than a cucumber” Cotter’s knack of penning stylishly quirky songs is apparent throughout the set of short songs.

Joyously silly but also very well crafted, The Joy Imperative proves that great music can have a sense of humor.

Listen for yourself and then… well buy it really. You’d be a fool not to. Pure sunshine on a CD… or download.
