Well Coastal Cites comprises of five seventeen years old from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, and Think Tank is their first release (release date 5th December). They are already set for high things, after posting songs on Soundcloud, it didn’t take long for them to grab people’s attention, The Drums tweeted they couldn’t stop listening to Think Tank and then a French magazine, Les Inrockuptibles posted about the band on their website calling the same song ‘irresistible’. And well I agree with both of those things. The music is fresh and exciting, especially for such a generic indie-pop genre.
The four song album consists of distinct guitar lines, an annoyingly contagious rhythm and catchy lyrics. The first song is Think Tank which is elegantly loud, fresh and just well, infectious. The next three songs follow suit, Night School, Transgression and No Room For Heroes, they are all seemingly buoyant and boppy. I’m already singing along after my second listen, and I have a sneaking suspicion it won’t take long before I’m dancing to any one of those tracks at any indie club.

Love Coastal cities!
So do we!
